Large Texas Rig Craw

A large texas rigged craw can be a good lure to go with when you want to fish something on the bottom and use a lure with a little more drawing power. The vibrating legs generate subtle waves, while the overall size is a little bigger than a standard size lure. Since the lure is also weedless, it usually does better on the bottom of most bodies of water since there is usually some form of cover around that could potentially snag the lure.

This lure can be thrown just about any time of the year, but I usually like to use it in the spring or the fall. They can also be effective in the winter, but I’ll usually go with a jig that has a smaller trailer at that point. My favorite lure for this presentation is the 4.25″ Pro Series Adrenaline Craw from Xzone Lures, and for colors I like to go with border craw, green pumpkin blue flake, or black and blue if the visibility is low.
